Taxation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Taxation Manager to lead our taxation department. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of direct and indirect taxes, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and represent the organization in litigation matters. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to navigating complex tax challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Taxation:

Oversee the computation, filing, and payment of income tax and other direct taxes.

Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with all statutory deadlines.

Handle tax audits and manage tax assessments.

2. Indirect Taxation:

Manage GST compliance, including registrations, return filings, and reconciliations.

Address GST audits and ensure adherence to evolving GST regulations.

Review and guide the team on other indirect tax compliances.

3. Litigation:

Represent the Clients in tax-related litigation and assessments.

Liaise with tax authorities and legal counsel to resolve disputes.

Prepare and submit responses to notices, appeals, and other legal documentation.

4. Advisory & Planning:

Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize tax liabilities.

Identify tax-saving opportunities and evaluate risks associated with transactions.

Keep the organization updated on changes in tax laws and their implications

5. Team Management:

Lead and mentor the taxation team to enhance their technical and professional skills.

Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficient execution of responsibilities.

Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions to keep the team abreast of regulatory changes.

6. Reporting:

Prepare and present tax reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of tax records for audits and inspections.

Required Qualifications

1. Education:

         CA (Inter), CMA (inter), or equivalent professional qualification.

2. Experience:

    • Proven experience in handling direct and indirect tax compliance and litigation.
    • Hands-on experience with GST and income tax-related software and tools.

3. Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with authorities and clients.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively

4. Pay Scale:

        3.6 – 4.5 LPA
